چکیده
Objective: To assess the association between environmental factors during pregnancy and early childhood with presence severity of Molar Incisor Hipomineralization (MIH) . Material Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted 120 patients 7 14 years age. MIH evaluated according to EAPD criteria. Data collected included child’s medical history mother’s health. Chi-square logistic regression were performed determine any statistical evidence factors, significance level set at 5%. Results: The participants divided into groups (n=60) without (n=60), average ages 9.9 (±1.9) 9.7 (±1.7) years, respectively. There a statistically significant difference intercurrences (OR=3.55; IC95%=1.35-10.57) medication taken by child (OR=3.01; IC95%=1.74-8.42) MIH. In addition, other variables also associated (p≤0.05). However, there no degree (p>0.05) Conclusion: The use medications in complications can be these do not interaction severity.

On the Etiology of Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization.
Molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is a condition that is defined based on its peculiar clinical presentation. Reports on the etiology of the condition and possible risk factors are inconclusive and the original suggestion that MIH is an idiopathic condition is often cited. Our group was the first to suggest MIH has a genetic component that involves genetic variation in genes expressed duri...
متن کاملMolar incisor hypomineralization: An update
Molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is a congenital disease which is increasing in prevalence. It affects permanent first molars and, often to a lesser degree, permanent incisors with variable severity. The etiology is unknown, but various risk factors have been put forward. Differential diagnosis is mandatory not to confound MIH with other diseases such as amelogenesis imperfecta or fluoros...
متن کاملInfluence of deciduous molar hypomineralization on the development of molar-incisor hypomineralizarion
Defects similar to Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) in second primary molars can be found in the literature, being recently named Deciduous Molar Hypomineralization (DMH). Researchers have stated that the presence of DMH in primary dentition represents a risk for MIH in permanent teeth. The explanation for this association is probably related to the etiological factors. Aim: To investigat...
